at Lamplight, 6N940 Dunham Rd., Wayne, IL
$12,000 total prize money and prizes.

Additional cash award for the best finishing adult amateur over 40 on an Off the Track Thoroughbred. Please put "OTTB" on your entry if you qualify.

INFORMAL UNRECOGNIZED WEEKEND FUN

Levels offered:

Starter (1'9" jumps, 2010 USEF Dressage Test Beginner Novice A) @250 mpm
Beginner Novice (2'6" jumps, 2010 USEF Dressage Test Beg. Novice B) @300 mpm
Novice (2"11" jumps, 2010 USEF Novice Dressage Test A) @300 mpm
Training (3'3" jumps, 2010 USEF Training Dressage Test A) @ 325 mpm
(Preliminary may be added should there be sufficient interest)

Masters (40 and older)/Foxhunters Divisions and awards at all levels.
Additional prizes in August for overall series' winners

The Derby is a three phase competition - two jumping rounds and a dressage test.. Scores are cumulative. The Dressage phase is ridden in a standard short arena and may be read. The jumping phases consist of some cross country type jumps and some show jumps on a measured track in and out of the Lamplight Grand Prix arena. Jumping rounds are timed against a set published speed. Closest to optimum time may determine a winner.

(YOU MAY "OPT" OUT OF ANY OF THE THREE PHASES OF COMPETITION AND WILL BE ASSESSED 50 PENALTY POINTS IN THE FINAL STANDINGS)

Helmets and boots must be worn while mounted.
Whip length per USEF rules.
No formal dress required. Instead, in July something red, white and blue must be worn, and in August. something Hawaiian must be worn. WATCHES MAY NOT BE WORN IN THE JUMPING PHASES.
Braiding not encouraged. Proper snaffle bit for Dressage.
You may enter two consecutive divisions for an additional $85.

Friday, July 9 and Friday, August 13 - From 8 AM to noon, entrants may school in the jumping arena for $10 and may ride their test and receive pointers from a USEF judge for $25
Please note your intent to participate on your entry blank. Space may be limited.

Starter Division - $175 each, stabling included
Beginner Novice, Novice and Training Divisions - $185 each, stabling included.
No non compete horses allowed.
