The Charles Owen British Pony Championships in 2010 will be held at Brand Hall, Shropshire by kind permission of Mr & Mrs Michael Taylor on June 4th - 6th, run by Mrs Janet Plant.
The Charles Owen British Eventing Pony Championship is the final trial to select the squad who will represent Britain at the FEI European Pony Championships, which are this year held on home turf at Yorkshire's Bishop Burton College (27 Jul-1 Aug).
The British Eventing Pony Team has gone from strength to strength over the years, winning 25 Championship medals at European level including 6 Golds since the team started in 1987.
The Pony Program has helped riders such as Oliver Townend, Matthew Wright, Emily Llewellyn, Laura Collett, Angus Smales, and Kitty Boggis find their way toward becoming established event riders.
The Chairman of selectors, Ginnie Keen, says: "The Pony Program and European Squad are very lucky and absolutely thrilled and delighted to be sponsored by Charles Owen who have been enormously supportive to us for many years. To be now to be sponsored by them is a huge honour, and the 'icing on the cake."
