Funnells Wow British Riding Clubs National Equine Forum
Hartpury, UK

British Riding Clubs National Equine Forum saw William and Pippa Funnell give an inspirational lecture demonstration to six lucky BRC guinea pigs.

The event took place at Hartpury College's new arena in Gloucestershire recently in front of more than 300 spectators gathered to watch the exciting line-up.

The nervous guinea pigs took the stage to be assessed by equestrian's top husband and wife team. Their advice was focused on balance, calmness and straightness, revealing how riders become guilty of adopting bad habits without regular support from the ground.

Sarah Phillips, Senior Executive of British Riding Clubs, said: "We were extremely lucky to have such inspirational speakers and our thanks go to the Funnells for providing such a relaxed atmosphere which put everyone at ease."

Desi Dillingham, BHS President, had opened proceedings followed by other demonstrations, including 'Inside Out's' Gillian Higgins with her horse Freddie, who presented an educational talk about the horse's bone structure and muscle usage on the flat and over obstacles. Clive Meers Rainger enlightened his audience about balanced shoeing methods, while Caroline Lockhart gave an interesting demonstration with her battery operated Wahl Clippers.
