Canadian Eventing Committee Announces 2009 Election Results

The Canadian Eventing Committee (CEC) have announced the results of the 2009 elections for Committee members.

As one nomination was received for each of the positions that were open, nominated candidates were elected via acclamation.

The composition of the CEC in 2010 is as follows

Officials & Rules Jo Young Second term 2009-2011
Secretary Pam Macintosh Second term 2009-2011
Coaching Ian Roberts Elected via acclamation for first term 2010-2012
High Performance Grit High Elected via acclamation for third term 2010-2012
Finance Kurt Thoms Elected via acclamation for second term 2010-2012
Competitions Julie Johannson Elected via acclamation for second term 2010-2012
Congress Vice Chair Charles Baudinet Elected via acclamation for third term 2010-2012
Elite Riders Representative Samantha Taylor Elected by Elite Riders' Association
Elite Riders Representative Kyle Carter Elected by Elite Riders' Association

The CEC welcomes new committee member Ian Roberts of Port Perry, ON, as chair of the Coaching Committee. Ian is a former Olympic and National Team member, high performance competitor and Ontario Junior/Young Rider Team coach for many years. Ian is a NCCP certified Level 3 Eventing Coach, and he brings a wealth of knowledge to the coaching program.

The CEC acknowledges, with thanks, Charles Baudinet, Grit High and Julie Johannson for agreeing to serve another term on the committee.
