Subaru Houghton International
Houghton Hall, Norfolk, England
Over 290 horses have been entered for this year's Subaru Houghton International Horse Trials, being held 22-25 May at Houghton Hall, Norfolk, no doubt attracted by the prize fund which totals over 37,000.

This is an unprecedented prize pot for a CCI** event: The winner of the CCI** will receive 5000, and the winner of the CCI* will receive 1000. The North Astor Group Eventers Grand Prix classes are also unusually valuable at 1000, 500 and 250.

Some British Olympic hopefuls will be returning to Norfolk after recent successes at The SPC Holdings Burnham Market World Cup Qualifier in March, including Zara Phillips, William Fox-Pitt and Oliver Townend. Also riding at The Subaru Houghton International will be Daisy Dick, Piggy French, Sarah Cohen and Jeannette Brakewell, all of whom are bringing 2 or 3 horses.

Event Director Alec Lochore (whose wife Emily will be competing on Devils Advovate III) said of the entries today "I am delighted with the level of entries. Last year's inaugural event was so well received by riders the word has obviously got round that Subaru Houghton is a Two Star not to be missed!"
