"We are thrilled to welcome Maui Jim on board," said competition organizer Tom Moxley. "It is an amazing company with an amazing product." The Championships will feature competition at all six recognized levels in the United States, from elite Advanced riders who have represented their country internationally, to Beginner Novice, the entry level of the sport of eventing. All of the horses and riders who will enter have qualified throughout the year at National events. Based on advance interest, a large turnout is anticipated.

Another exciting feature will be the Spalding Labs Young Event Horse Championships for 4 and 5 year old horses which will be run prior to the AEC's on September 12. Upcoming stars of the sport will compete at their respective age levels for the title of champion.
