Puhinui Proceeding
Auckland, New Zealand

After further consideration, and in attempt to continue the on-going rebuilding of the Puhinui Event the Organising Committee of Auckland Equestrian Events has decided to proceed with the 2007 Puhinui 3 Day Horse Trials. Low Rider numbers gave question to the feasibility of staging a full scale event, however after broadening the field to include a pre-novice class and some restructuring the viability of the event is now established. This will once again give riders and horses the opportunity to ride at this great venue kindly offered by the Manukau City Council.

British-born and based Equestrienne Angela Tucker has been appointed Chief Judge. Prior to becoming an international judge, Angela Tucker was a highly successful eventer. She judged at the Athens Olympics in 2004 and at the World Equestrian Games, Aachen. She has also judged at a number of international 3 Day Events including Lexington, Chatsworth, Bramham, Gatcombe, Hartpury and Burghley. She is also a member of the British Equestrian Selection Committee.

She joins FEI International Course Designer Gerrit Beker in still bringing an international level of capability to the upcoming event. Dutch-born Gerrit Beker is a Member of the Equestrian Sports New Zealand Show Jumping Technical Committee and is an FEI International Course Designer.
