"Leslie brings a wealth of experience and will provide great leadership for the next generations." The USEF Eventing Department received seven applications to fill the position. A Sub-Committee of the Eventing High Performance Committee was appointed to orchestrate the process. Jan Byyny, Robert Costello, Buck Davidson, Derek di Grazia, Phillip Dutton, and David O'Connor narrowed down the pool to two applicants. On December 10, 2014, Chattahoochee Hills kindly hosted Sub-Committee members who evaluated both applicants' teaching technique and conducted in-person interviews. Each applicant taught two lessons (dressage and jumping). The Sub-Committee's recommendation was then approved by the Eventing High Performance Committee and the International Disciplines Council.
