USEA Area VII Accepting Applications for Young Rider Team Coach
USEA Area VII (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska) is in search of a new coach for their Young Rider Silver medal Young Rider (Area VII, VIII and IX) Team of Erin Strader, Jacqueline Larouche and Lizzie Snow on the podium at the 2013 North American Junior and Young Rider Championships in Lexington, Kentucky.
Photo: StockImageServices.com program (2014-2016). Coaches must be ICP Certified Level III. Qualifications for the position include: substantial coaching experience, excellent interpersonal skills (must be able to communicate with parents and young riders alike during some trying times), and have ridden at the CCI*** level. Not every candidate may meet all of these conditions, and the credentials of each candidate will be weighed. The decision will be made by an approved area committee that has been chosen by the area council. All applicants will be notified of the decision by email. All applications must be submitted before March 1, 2014 to be considered. Expectations of the coach: Teaching: a 4 day camp, three 2 day clinics, course walks at competitions with in Area VII, coaching at NAJYRC, coaching at team competitions and any other agreed upon opportunities to work with Area VII Young Riders. Communications: to work closely with the YR coordinator and the Area VII YR board to develop programs to benefit the area YR's.
