Carolina Horse Park To Host Spring CIC3*
In the pursuit of World Equestrian Games glory, organizers hope that the top eventing combinations in North America will head to the Carolina Horse Park in Raeford, N.C. March 20-23, 2014 for the Carolina International CIC and Horse Trial.
In it's inaugural year, the event will run CIC3*, CIC2*, CIC1* as well as national level horse trials from Preliminary to Advanced levels.
With more than 250 acres of pristine footing and North Carolina's best soil the Carolina International will provide ample opportunity for North America's best horse and rider combinations to test their skill over well-known course designer Hugh Lochore's thoughtful tracks.
"In our pursuit of Team and Individual medals next year in Normandy, France, it is vital that we have top events in our country to test our skills in elite competition without having to travel overseas. As a resident of the Sandhills of North Carolina, I relish the opportunity to ride in front of a hometown audience; knowing that family, friends, and fans are behind you only inspires you to up your game," said Pan American Games Gold medalist and FEI World Equestrian Games veteran Will Faudree. "I am very excited for The Carolina International. It will be one of the most important competitions the U.S. hosts next year."
This USEA Area II event site is best known for horse trials that run under such names as Southern Pines, Long Leaf Pines, Five Points and Cabin Branch.
